Manchester United Vs Manchester City : Match Preview

The battle for the Barclays Premier League looks almost over as United lead their closest opponents and city rivals Manchester City by 15 points with 8 games of the season remaining, and have the chance to make it 18 if they can overcome them in the next match, this game shows the current champions against the potential champions of England this season.

It was a close race up till January when United started to pull away from City and the rest of the teams in the top four, United are deserved champions this season with some record braking performances, and this time around they have made sure they don't make the same mistake as last season were their match form started to slip which caused them to lose the league at home against Everton when they lost a 4-2 lead and ended up drawing 4-4 in remaining minutes.

Rooney who missed the FA Cup replay against Chelsea on Monday may be fit to play Manchester City after getting a groin injury in the England World Cup Qualifiers Sir Alex Ferguson said this
"He got a groin injury playing for England. He wasn't 100% and there is no point risking players with groin injuries," said Ferguson.

"It could exacerbate itself and you could be out for weeks. Hopefully he will be ready for next Monday's game."

Rooney Should Be
Fit To Play
Manchester City.
